AFTERCARE
Details
- If your tattoo artist applied DERMALIZE wrap on your tattoo do not remove it for 2-3 days. Don’t worry is there will be some dark liquid under wrap (blood and Ink) cause this is totally normal. Do not wrap your tattoo in foil.
- Take off Dermalize wrap or plastic wrap.
- Carefully clean the skin with cold water and natural non-scented soap (feminine hygiene wash is also a good alternative- it’s acidic pH stops the growth of bacteria)
- After cleaning the area, dry with paper towel, do not use regular towels any bacteria and dirt on it might cause problems.
- Apply thin layer of ointment on the entire area.(coconut oil, Hustle Butter Deluxe) do not use Alantan, Alantan Plus, Vaseline.
- Wait until ornament is absorbed and after a few minutes apply a new wrap. When the tattoo produces discharge, it is good to place a piece of a paper towel on the area, and under the plastic wrapping. It will absorb any leaking fluids. This wrap should be changed at most every 6 hours at night, and during the day every 4 hours for 3 days. If that time is spend at home and are is not likely to get rubbed on anything, plastic wrap is not needed, let it breathe.
After the third day, time to let the skin breathe, try not to wear clothing which could potentially irritate the fresh tattoo.
For about 3 weeks, special care for the tattoo is required and ointment should be applied a the few times a day as needed.
